Prohibition against cancellation of policy when motor vehicle is used or operated through a transportation network company program
Effective Jun 30, 2017
- (a) An insurer shall not cancel an existing motor vehicle insurance policy solely on the basis that the motor vehicle covered by the insurance has been made available pursuant to a transportation network company program in compliance with article forty-four-B of the vehicle and traffic law.
- (b) The definitions set forth in section three thousand four hundred fifty-five of this article shall apply to this section.
