1. (1) Other statutes of this state setting simplification standards for language or format do not apply to property and casualty policies.

2. (2) Sections 33-15-333 through 33-15-340 do not apply to policies in manuscript form or to the following kinds of insurance:

   1. (a) ocean marine;
   2. (b) surety and financial institution bonds;
   3. (c) reinsurance; or
   4. (d) commercial lines policies, including but not limited to commercial aviation.
3. (3) A non-English policy is considered in compliance with 33-15-337 if it was translated from an English policy that complies with 33-15-337.
