- (1) There is a family education savings program administered by the board of regents of higher education. The program may consist of one or more qualified tuition programs at the discretion of the board.
- (2) It is the intent of the legislature to establish the Family Education Savings Act in recognition that the general welfare and well-being of the state of Montana are directly related to the educational levels and skills of its citizens. A vital and valid public purpose of the state of Montana is served by the establishment and implementation of a program that will encourage and make possible the attainment of an accessible, affordable education by the greatest number of citizens through a savings program.
