1. (1) No candidate or political committee shall receive a cash contribution in excess of $25 unless the candidate or political committee prepares a receipt. Such receipt shall contain the following information:

   1. (a) The full name and mailing address (occupation and principal place of business, if any) of the contributor.
   2. (b) The date the contribution was received.
   3. (c) The name of the person who received the contribution on behalf of the candidate or political committee.
   4. (d) The exact amount of the contribution.
2. (2) The receipt is to be kept as a part of the treasurer's records as specified in 13-37-207, MCA.
