1. (1) All health care facilities shall develop and implement an infection prevention and control program. At a minimum, the facility must develop, implement, and review, at least annually, written policies and procedures regarding infection prevention and control which must include but are not limited to:

   1. (a) procedures to identify high risk individuals; and
   2. (b) the identification of methods used to protect, contain, or minimize the risk to patients, residents, staff, and visitors.
2. (2) The administrator or infection control officer will be responsible for the direction, provision, and quality of infection prevention and control services.
