- (1) A licensee or student must not provide services to a client if the licensee, student, or client has an infectious, contagious, or a communicable disease or condition that can be transmitted through casual contact.
- (2) A licensee or student having an infectious, contagious, or communicable disease or condition must take all reasonable and necessary steps to avoid transmitting a disease or condition to clients and coworkers.
- (3) A licensee or student with a discharging or infected sore on any exposed portion of the body must be excluded from all premises, unless the sore is adequately covered to prevent transmission.
- (4) If a licensee or student detects that a client has pediculosis capitis (head lice), the licensee or student must refuse to provide service and may provide necessary information and/or products for home self-treatment.
