- (1) Except as provided in (2), the basic and basic equivalency training standards set forth in 7-32-303, MCA, are applicable to all public safety officers, where an appropriate basic course or basic equivalency course exists in the public safety officer's field.
- (2) The standards set forth in (1) do not apply to reserve officers.
- (3) A public safety officer's appointing authority must provide written notice to POST within 10 days of the appointment, termination, resignation, or death of the public safety officer.
