(1) The following substances are precursors to dangerous drugs, regulated by Title 50, chapter 32, part 4, MCA:
- (a) anhydrous ammonia;
- (b) barbituric acid;
- (c) benzoyl chloride;
- (d) boron tribromide;
- (e) boron trifluoride;
- (f) bromobenzene (monobromobenzene);
- (g) butamediol-1,4;
- (h) citral;
- (i) cyclohexanone;
- (j) diethylamine;
- (k) ethyl malonate (diethyl malonate);
- (l) dimethylformamide;
- (m) dimethylsulfoxide;
- (n) ergonovine;
- (o) ergotamine;
- (p) ethanolamine (monethanolamine);
- (q) fomamide;
- (r) formic acid;
- (s) furan;
- (t) gallic acid (3,4,5-trihydroxybenzoic acid);
- (u) gamma butyrolactone;
- (v) gamma hydroxybutryic acid;
- (w) gloyoxylic acid (formylformic acid);
- (x) hydriodic acid;
- (y) hydroxylamine;
- (z) hypophosphorous acid;
- (aa) indole;
- (bb) iodine in any form;
- (cc) isosafrole;
- (dd) lithium aluminum hydride (aluminum lithium hydride);
- (ee) lysergic acid, or other ergot alkaloids which can be used to produce lysergic acid;
- (ff) malonic acid (propanedioic acid);
- (gg) methylamine;
- (hh) nitroethane;
- (ii) nitromethane;
- (jj) olivitol;
- (kk) oxalyl chloride;
- (ll) phenylacetic acid;
- (mm) phenyl-2-propanone (phenylacetone);
- (nn) phosphorous acid;
- (oo) phosphorous oxychloride;
- (pp) piperidine;
- (qq) piperonal;
- (rr) red phosphorous;
- (ss) safrole;
- (tt) sulfanilamide;
- (uu) thiourea;
- (vv) tincture of iodine greater than 2%;
- (ww) trifluoracetic anhydride;
- (xx) 1,3,5-trimethoxybenzoic acid;
- (yy) tyrosine;
- (zz) white phosphorous;
- (aaa) yellow phosphorous; and
- (bbb) any salt, optical isomer, salt of an optical isomer, or preparation that is chemically equivalent to any of the chemicals listed above.
