1. (1) An agency may request authorization from the division to pursue an alternative procurement method.

2. (2) If an alternative procurement method is approved, the division shall:

   1. (a) conduct the procurement on behalf of the agency or delegate one-time authority to conduct the procurement on its own;
   2. (b) notify potential vendors of the alternative procurement method being used for the supply or service; and
   3. (c) make a written determination as to the success of the method.
