- 1. It shall be the duty of the operator or driver of any vehicle or any other conveyance regardless of means of propulsion, or the rider of any animal traveling on the highways of this state to stop on signal of any law enforcement officer and to obey any other reasonable signal or direction of such law enforcement officer given in directing the movement of traffic on the highways or enforcing any offense or infraction.
- 2. The offense of willfully failing or refusing to obey such signals or directions or willfully resisting or opposing a law enforcement officer in the proper discharge of his or her duties is a class A misdemeanor.
