Mo. Rev. Stat. § 565.212 – Until December 31, 2016 — Vulnerable person abuse in the second degree, penalty

1. A person commits the crime of vulnerable person abuse in the second degree if he or she:
1. (1) Knowingly causes or attempts to cause physical injury to a vulnerable person, as defined in section 630.005, by means of a deadly weapon or dangerous instrument; or
2. (2) Recklessly causes serious physical injury to any vulnerable person, as defined in section 630.005.
2. Vulnerable person abuse in the second degree is a class B felony.
