1. 1. Unclaimed prize money shall be retained by the commission for the person entitled thereto for one hundred eighty days after the time at which the prize was awarded. If no claim is made for the prize within one hundred eighty days, the prize money shall be reverted to the state lottery fund.
2. 2. In fiscal year 2003, the lottery commission shall transfer the amount received pursuant to this section to the lottery proceeds fund. In fiscal year 2003, the commissioner of administration shall transfer an equivalent amount from the lottery proceeds fund to the schools of the future fund created in section 163.005, RSMo.
