The division of workers' compensation shall create in each of its area offices a public information program to assist all parties involved with an injury or claim under this chapter. In providing assistance under this section, all of the division's legal advisors shall also act as public information persons and shall, upon request, meet with or otherwise provide information to employees, employers, insurers and health care providers and shall investigate complaints of possible violations of the provisions of this chapter. The division shall employ two additional legal advisors, one to be located in the St. Louis office and one to be located in the Jefferson City office. Assistance provided under this section shall not include representing the claimant in a compensation hearing provided for in section 287.470.
