Whenever the director has knowledge that a licensee licensed under the provisions of this chapter has violated the provisions of this chapter, in order to protect the interest of the public, the director, after hearing, may suspend or revoke his license. The licensee shall be notified in writing of the violation, date and place of the hearing of suspension or revocation of his license.
