1. 1. The county superintendent of public welfare in each county shall give oversight and supervision to prisoners on parole or probation by any court in the state of Missouri and shall investigate applications for clemency when requested to do so by said courts, and shall report in regard to each person placed under his supervision to the court placing said persons under his supervision.
2. 2. The county superintendent of public welfare shall also give oversight and supervision to children placed on parole or probation by the juvenile court or the court having jurisdiction of children's cases in his county when requested to do so by said court and shall report to said court upon progress of persons thus placed on parole or probation.
