It shall be the duty of the superintendent to appear before the county commission on the first day of every regular session thereof, and at such other times as the commission may require, and present said book to said commission for their inspection. Should the superintendent fail or refuse to keep such book and present the same to the county commission, as provided in sections 205.580 to 205.760, it shall be considered sufficient cause for his removal, and it shall be the duty of the county commission to remove the same, and appoint another to fill the vacancy.
