The ex officio collector shall include in his monthly statement all such sums collected for the preceding month as may have been paid to him by the township collectors up to the time of making his monthly statement, which have not been included in any previous statements, and shall include in his annual settlement, as provided in this chapter and in the general revenue law, the whole amount of taxes collected by the several township collectors of his county as shown by the annual settlements of the township collectors with the county commission as provided in section 139.420.
