Authority may exercise power of eminent domain

An authority shall have the right to acquire by the exercise of the power of eminent domain any real property which it may deem necessary for a project or for its purposes under this law after the adoption by it of a resolution declaring that the acquisition of the real property described therein is necessary for such purposes. Any authority may exercise the power of eminent domain in the manner and under the procedure provided for corporations in sections 523.010 to 523.070, inclusive, and 523.090 and 523.100, RSMo, and acts amendatory thereof or supplementary thereto; or it may exercise the power of eminent domain in the manner now or which may be hereafter provided by any other statutory provision available to the city, and, as to an authority in a constitutional charter city, in the manner provided in the charter of said city for the exercise of the power of eminent domain.
- 2. Property already devoted to a public use may be acquired in like manner; provided that no real property belonging to the municipality, the county or the state may be acquired without its consent.
