The permanent headquarters of the land survey program shall be at or near to the principal office of the Missouri state geological survey. Until such time as other headquarters can be obtained by the land survey program, the state geologist shall assign such space in the state geological survey building as may be available. The land survey program may also establish and maintain regional offices in the metropolitan areas of the state for the storage and distribution of local survey record information.
