1. 1. The county collector in each county of the third class is entitled to employ deputies and assistants, and for the deputies and assistants is allowed not less than the amount allowed in 1992 or 1993, whichever is greater.
2. 2. For the purpose of computing the various amounts under the provisions of subsection 1 of this section, the salary of the county collector is the total compensation provided in section 52.269.
