PURPOSE: The State Board of Education is authorized to grant certificates of license to teach in any of the public schools of the state and to establish requirements and qualifications for those certificates under the provisions of section 168.021.1, RSMo and cause the certificates to be revoked in a manner provided in section 168.071, RSMo. This rule establishes a procedure for processing applications for a Missouri teaching certificate from applicants having had teaching certificates revoked by a certificating authority other than the State Board of Education or the certifying authority in another state or political subdivision. (1) All applicants for Missouri certification, in the application process, must acknowledge whether or not they have ever had a teaching certificate revoked by a Missouri certificating authority other than the State Board of Education or by the certificating authority in another state or political subdivision.
