PURPOSE: This rule clarifies the requirements for Missouri licensure by reciprocity.

1. (1) Applications for license by reciprocity must be made on the forms provided by the board and may be obtained from the board office or by visiting the board’s website at https://pr.mo.gov/podiatrists.asp.

2. (2) No application will be considered until the board receives all of the following:

   1. (A) All sections on the application form completed and properly attested;
   2. (B) A recent photograph;
   3. (C) The current reciprocity license fee and Missouri law examination fee. All fees are non-refundable;
   4. (D) A completed Missouri State Highway Patrol and Federal Bureau of Investigation fingerprint background check. Proof shall consist of any documentation acceptable to the board. Any fees due shall be paid by the applicant to the Missouri State Highway Patrol or its approved vendor;

   5. (E) Verification of licensure, certification, registration, or permit from each regulatory entity in each state, District of Columbia, United States territory, province, or country in which a license, certificate, registration, or permit is held or has ever been held. The verification shall include:

      1. 1. The license, registration, certificate,

or permit issued, the number, status, and issue and expiration dates;

1. 2. Information regarding any discipli-

nary action;

1. 3. Method of licensure, registration, or

certification;

1. 4. The name and title of the person ver-

ifying information;

1. 5. The date; and
2. 6. The entity’s seal;
3. (F) Proof of ankle surgery certification, if seeking licensure as such;
4. (G) A successful Missouri law examination; and
5. (H) Any additional documentation deemed necessary by the board.

1. (3) A reciprocity applicant shall achieve a score of ninety percent (90%) or greater on the Missouri law examination administered by the board as an open book exam. The board’s Missouri law examination will test the applicant’s knowledge of Missouri statutes and rules relating to podiatric medicine.
2. (4) Applicants for licensure by reciprocity may be requested to appear in person before the board in order for the application to be approved.
3. (5) The board reserves the exclusive right to pass upon the standards of qualifications of the various states from which applicants may be accepted without examination and it reserves the right to reject an applicant on educational, moral, ethical, professional, or other grounds.
