PURPOSE: This rule requires that applications for licensure under section 327.392, RSMo, be subject to criteria established by the board.

1. (1) All applications for licensure as a professional engineer under section 327.392.1, RSMo are subject to such criteria as established by the board. An applicant may apply for licensure under section 327.392.1, RSMo, who—

   1. (A) Submits a complete application on forms prescribed by the board showing a minimum of twenty (20) years of satisfactory engineering experience;
   2. (B) Holds a degree at the bachelor’s level or higher in engineering; and
   3. (C) Passes the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES) Principles and Practice of Engineering examination.

2. (2) All applications for licensure as a professional engineer under section 327.392.2, RSMo are subject to such criteria as established by the board. An applicant may apply for licensure under section 327.392.2, RSMo, who—

   1. (A) Submits a complete application on forms prescribed by the board showing a minimum of four (4) years of satisfactory engineering experience;
   2. (B) Holds a degree from an Engineering Accreditation Commission of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET, Inc.) or its equivalent and a doctorate in engineering from an institution that offers Engineering Accreditation Commission programs; and
   3. (C) Passes the NCEES Principles and Practice of Engineering examination.
