PURPOSE: This rule establishes requirements relating to personnel health. This rule corresponds with Part II, Section 13 of the Grade A Pasteurized Milk Ordinance with Administrative Procedures—2009 Recommendations of the United States Public Health Service/Food and Drug Administration (PMO).

- (1) No person affected with any disease in a communicable form, or while a carrier of that disease, shall work at any dairy farm or milk plant in any capacity which brings him/her into contact with the production, handling, storage, or transportation of milk, milk products, containers, equipment, and utensils; and no dairy farm or milk plant operator shall employ in any capacity any person or any person suspected of having any disease in a communicable form or of being a carrier of disease. Any producer or distributor of milk or milk products, upon whose dairy farm or in whose milk plant any communicable disease occurs, or who suspects that any employee has contracted any disease in a communicable form, or has become a carrier of the disease, shall notify the regulatory agency immediately. The 2009 edition of the Grade A Pasteurized Milk Ordinance with Administrative Procedures is hereby incorporated by reference as published by the Department of Health and Human Services, Public Health Service, Food and Drug Administration, Milk Safety Branch (HFS- 626), 5100 Paint Branch Parkway, College Park, MD 20740-3835. This rule does not incorporate any subsequent amendments or additions to the Pasteurized Milk Ordinance (PMO).
