PURPOSE: This rule provides requirements for construction or reconstruction of future dairy farms and milk plants. This rule corresponds with Section 12 of the Grade “A” Pasteurized Milk Ordinance (PMO), 2015 Revision of the United States Department of Health and Human Services, Public Health Service, Food and Drug Administration. PUBLISHER’S NOTE: The secretary of state has determined that the publication of the entire text of the material which is incorporated by reference as a portion of this rule would be unduly cumbersome or expensive. This material as incorporated by reference in this rule shall be maintained by the agency at its headquarters and shall be made available to the public for inspection and copying at no more than the actual cost of reproduction. 1. (1) Properly prepared plans shall be submitted to the regulatory agency for written approval before work is begun on all milkhouses, milking barns, stables and parlors, transfer stations, receiving stations, and milk plants regulated under these rules which are constructed, reconstructed, or extensively altered after July 1, 1980. The Grade “A” Pasteurized Milk Ordinance (PMO), 2015 Revision is hereby incorporated by reference as published by the United States Department of Health and Human Services, Public Health Service, Food and Drug Administration, Division of Plant and Dairy Food (HFS-316), 5100 Paint Branch Parkway, College Park, MD 20740-3835. This rule does not incorporate any subsequent amendments or additions to the Pasteurized Milk Ordinance (PMO).
