PURPOSE: This rule gives the guidelines for off-season use of Missouri State Fair facilities.
(1) Facilities are available for off-season use on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to the following limitations:
- (A) Users must agree to comply with all requirements of the rental space contract made with the state fair;
- (B) Subject to subsection (1)(C), users who fully comply with the rental space contract may request to renew their contracts the following year. Users who wish to renew their contracts for the next year must return the renewal notices within the specified time period on the notice. Failure to return the renewal form (See 2 CSR 50-3.020) within the specified time will cause forfeiture of the use of the facility; and
- (C) The Missouri State Fair reserves the right to refuse to renew any rental space contract when this action is necessary to encourage the development of agricultural, horticultural, mechanical, mineral, stock raising or other industrial interests of Missouri, or to encourage diversity of products or events sold, displayed or produced.
- (2) The director has discretionary authority to make modifications to facility use as needed for the best interests of the fair.
- (3) A deposit is required to hold space available to applicants.
