PURPOSE: This rule places restrictions on any individual, group or organization who advocates or solicits support for ideas, causes, products, or any of these, while on state fair property.
- (1) Previous renters of state fair space will have priority on reserving the same space for the next year. The remaining spaces will be made available to any individuals, group or organization on a first-come, first-served basis. To reserve a space, an applicant first must provide a certificate of insurance, as outlined in 2 CSR 50-3.020(5), to the director of the Missouri State Fair, pay the applicable fee in advance and make the request for space to the director of the Missouri State Fair at least forty-eight (48) hours prior to the start of the fair.
- (2) The individuals, groups or organizations, as described in section (1), may distribute literature, engage in solicitation and publicly advance their views only from their designated spaces.
- (3) Any individual, group or organization obstructing the normal operation of the Missouri State Fair in violation of section (1), (2) or in violation of any state, federal or municipal law will be removed from the state fairgrounds.
