PURPOSE: This rule establishes procedures for determining the salary rates used in calculating service retirement disability retirement and death benefits.

1. (1) The system will determine salary rates for purposes of benefit calculation in accordance with 16 CSR 10-3.010(10). The determination will include only salary earned for service for an employer within the system and will exclude salary related to creditable service that was purchased or transferred.
