Mo. Code Regs. Ann. tit. 15, § 50-3.050
PURPOSE: Sections 447.500–447.595, RSMo comprise the Missouri Uniform Disposition of Unclaimed Property Act. This rule defines property which is not deliverable to the state.
(1) When Subject to Act. A review of the Uniform Disposition of Unclaimed Property Act (Act) and 15 CSR 50-3.030 discloses that property without an apparent owner for varying periods (generally seven (7) years), but five (5) years after 1/1/2000) is subject to delivery to the state. The abandonment period begins effective August 13, 1984, with the initial report due on November 1 of the year in which the statutory period of abandonment for the property runs, as calculated prospectively from that date.
