MO HealthNet for Former Foster Care Children

PURPOSE: This rule implements Senate Bill 514 (2019), which amended paragraph 208.151.1(26), RSMo, governing how and when foster care recipients who turn age eighteen (18) can receive MO HealthNet coverage until they reach age twenty-six (26).
(1) A person is eligible for MO HealthNet under paragraph 208.151.1(26), RSMo, if—
- (A) The person was in foster care under the responsibility of Missouri when the person turned age eighteen (18), or within the thirty
(30) days preceding the person’s eighteenth birthday, or;
- (B) The person was in foster care under the responsibility of any other United States state, territory, tribe, or the District of Columbia, when the person turned age eighteen (18), or within the thirty (30) days preceding the person’s eighteenth birthday, received foster care for at least six (6) months 13 CSR 40-7
in the other state, territory, tribe, or the District of Columbia, and is currently residing in Missouri, and;
- (C) The person identified in subsection (A) or (B) meets the requirements of subparagraphs (a), (b), and (c) of paragraph 208.151.1(26), RSMo.
