PURPOSE: This rule establishes criteria for reimbursement for foster care.

1. (1) The Division of Family Services shall expend general revenue for the cost of care in licensed foster homes, licensed residential care facilities for children in the care and custody of the Division of Family Services or in the care and custody of the Juvenile Division of the Circuit Court as specified in section 210.292, RSMo (1986), except for federal funds expended for refugees as defined in section (2).
2. (2) The Division of Family Services shall expend federal funds for the cost of care for eligible refugees as defined by the Refugee Act of 1980 in Public Law 96.212.
3. (3) The maximum rates for foster care including room and board, clothing and incidental expenses for homeless, dependent and neglected children which are subject to reimbursement are-one hundred thirty-nine dollars ($139) for ages zero to five (O-5) years; ,,.-~-, one hundred seventy dollars ($170) for ages six to twelve (6-12) years and one hundred eight-seven dollars ($187) for ages thirteen (13) and over.
4. (4) The division will reimburse for ICIO~I and board based upon the maximum rates for foster care for homeless, dependent and neglected children minus other e.ources of income.

5. (5) For reimbursement of care beyond the rates speeitiedinsedion(3)priorauthorization~m the division shall be required.
