PURPOSE: This rule defines the type of outboard motor required to be titled and registered.

1. (1) An outboard motor is defined as an internal combustion engine with an integrally attached propeller or waterjet propulsion unit that is designed to be temporarily secured to the stern of a boat.
2. (2) Only outboard motors, as defined above, are subject to the titling and registration 12 CSR 10-23

requirements of Chapter 306, RSMo.
