Investigation Due to Off-Site Impacts

PURPOSE: This rule describes the requirements for off-site investigations following reported or suspected releases.
- (1) When required by the department, owners and operators of underground storage tank
- (UST) systems must follow the steps for confirmation of a release in 10 CSR 20-10.052 to determine if the UST system is the source of the off-site impacts. These impacts include the discovery of regulated substances such as the presence of free product or vapors in soils, basements, sewer and utility lines and nearby surface and drinking waters that have been observed by the department or brought to its attention by another party.
