PURPOSE: This rule provides the public with a description of the Division of Purchasing and Materials Management within the Office of Administration. This rule fulfills the statutory requirement of section 536.023(3), RSMo.

1. (1) The Division of Purchasing and Materials Management is responsible for the procurement of supplies, equipment and services for state departments.

2. (2) In addition to procurement activities, the division is also responsible for the following activities:

   1. (A) Administration of the state and federal surplus property program;
   2. (B) Operation of the cooperative procurement program for political subdivisions of the state; and
   3. (C) Coordination of the state recycling program.
