Subd. 1. To governor.

The commissioner shall make an annual written report to the governor giving:

1. (a) an account of all money received and disbursed;
2. (b) a description of the work done;
3. (c) administrative improvements;
4. (d) activities of the department;
5. (e) the number of veterans who have, during the past year, received relief in any form;
6. (f) the number of veterans on relief rolls;
7. (g) the number of claims presented on behalf of veterans, and the disposition thereof;
8. (h) the recommendations the commissioner may deem necessary for the active performance of the duties and purposes of the department.
