Subd. 1.

There is created in the Minnesota historical society a center for the study of Minnesota folklife.

Subd. 2.

The director of the center shall be the state folklorist who shall be a professional folklorist on the staff of the Minnesota historical society appointed by the director of the Minnesota historical society.
