Every foreign or domestic nonprofit corporation organized for the purpose of establishing or operating a legal service plan in Minnesota whereby legal services are provided to subscribers to the plan under a contract with the corporation are subject to sections 62G.01 to 62G.25 and are not subject to the laws of this state relating to insurance, except as otherwise specifically provided.
