Subd. 1.

Subd. 2. Permissive temporary license.
The commissioner may issue a temporary license to a person to act as an insurance agent for a period not to exceed 90 days, which may be extended as determined by the commissioner, without requiring an examination if the commissioner considers a temporary license necessary for the servicing of an insurance business in the following cases:
(4) in any other circumstance where the commissioner considers that the public interest will best be served by the issuance of a temporary license.
