Subd. 1. Questions.
(b) A special election may not be held:
Subd. 2. Vacancies in school district offices.
Special elections to fill vacancies in elective school district offices shall be held in school districts pursuant to section 123B.095. When more than one vacancy exists in an office elected at-large, voters must be instructed to vote for up to the number of vacancies to be filled.
Subd. 3. Cancellation.
A special election ordered by the school board on its own motion under subdivision 1 may be canceled by motion of the school board, but not less than 74 days before an election held in conjunction with a regularly scheduled election for federal, state, county, city, or school board office or a special election for federal office, or 46 days before any other election.
