Sec. 24. "Poverty income guidelines" means the poverty income guidelines published annually in the Federal Register, by the Secretary of Health and Human Services, pursuant to 42 U.S.C. 9902(2) and 42 U.S.C. 9847, that provide an update of the poverty income guidelines to account for last year's increase in prices as measured by the Consumer Price Index.
