Sec. 14.5. "Venomous reptile" means a reptile that is normally considered a venomous or poisonous species where found in its native habitat and that can inflict serious bodily injury (as defined by IC 35-31.5-2-292) or death upon a human being, regardless of whether an individual animal has been surgically altered.
