Sec. 1. (a) An owner or operator of an underground gas storage facility or an underground petroleum storage facility shall file with the division of reclamation a dated and certified plat or map showing the following:

1. (1) The limits of gas and the gas filled portion of the reservoir.
2. (2) The lease or ownership limits of any existing or proposed underground storage reservoir that the person owns or operates.

The person shall update the plat or map annually by July 1 and when a change of the lease or ownership limits is filed with the division of reclamation.

(b) Where a plat or map is unchanged from the prior year, the requirements of this section are met upon filing with the division of reclamation a notification by July 1 of each year that the underground storage reservoir is unchanged from the prior year.
