Sec. 12. The director may request the attorney general to institute a civil action for relief, including a permanent or temporary injunction, restraining order, or any other appropriate relief from a court of competent jurisdiction whenever that person or his or her agent:

1. (1) violates fails, or refuses to comply with any order or decision of the commission, department, or director under IC 14-34;
2. (2) interferes with, hinders, or delays the director or an authorized representative of the director in carrying out the director's duties under IC 14-34;
3. (3) refuses to admit an authorized representative of the director to a mine;
4. (4) refuses to permit inspection of a mine by an authorized representative of the director;
5. (5) refuses to furnish any information or report required to be furnished by IC 14-34 or this article;
6. (6) refuses to permit access to or copying of any required records; or
7. (7) refuses to permit inspection of monitoring equipment.
