(a) A person must be licensed by the secretary under this chapter before the person may do any of the following:
1. (1) Sell a used major component part of a motor vehicle.
2. (2) Wreck, dismantle, shred, compact, crush, or otherwise destroy a motor vehicle for resale of the major component parts of the motor vehicle or scrap material.
3. (3) Rebuild a wrecked or dismantled motor vehicle for resale.
4. (4) Possess for more than thirty (30) days more than two (2) inoperable motor vehicles of a type subject to registration under IC 9-18 (before its expiration) or IC 9-18.1 unless the person holds a mechanic's lien on each motor vehicle over the quantity of two (2).
5. (5) Engage in the business of storing, disposing, salvaging, or recycling of motor vehicles, vehicle hulks, or parts of motor vehicles.
(b) A person who violates this section commits a Class A infraction.
