- (a) There is annually appropriated two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) from the motor vehicle highway account to the department to develop and maintain a centralized electronic statewide asset management data base that may be used to aggregate data on local road conditions. The data base shall be developed in cooperation with the department and the office of management and budget.
- (b) The department shall submit a written report on the department's progress in developing the data base described in subsection (a) to the legislative council in an electronic format under IC 5-14-6 before November 1, 2017. This subsection expires December 31, 2017.
