1. (a) As used in this chapter, "acquisition" means a project or an arrangement that is undertaken:

   1. (1) by an energy utility to construct, purchase, lease, or otherwise acquire a generation resource; and
   2. (2) in accordance with an approved EGR plan.
2. (b) The term includes the purchase of energy or capacity through a power purchase agreement.
