1. (a) As used in this chapter, "company" means any of the following:

   1. (1) A sole proprietorship.
   2. (2) An organization.
   3. (3) An association.
   4. (4) A corporation.
   5. (5) A partnership.
   6. (6) A joint venture.
   7. (7) A limited partnership.
   8. (8) A limited liability partnership.
   9. (9) A limited liability company.
   10. (10) A business association.

2. (b) The term includes:

   1. (1) a wholly owned subsidiary;
   2. (2) a majority owned subsidiary;
   3. (3) a parent company; or

   4. (4) an affiliate;

      of an individual, entity, or association described in subsection (a)(1) through (a)(10).
