1. (a) The commission has jurisdiction over the following persons:

   1. (1) A current or former state officer.
   2. (2) A current or former employee.
   3. (3) A person who has or had a business relationship with an agency.
   4. (4) A current or former special state appointee.

2. (b) If the office of a state officer is abolished, the following apply:

   1. (1) The commission continues to have jurisdiction over a person who held the office before the office was abolished to the same extent that the commission would have had jurisdiction over the person if the office had not been abolished.

   2. (2) The following continue to apply to a person who held the office before the office was abolished to the same extent that the following would have applied to the person if the office had not been abolished:

      1. (A) This chapter.
      2. (B) IC 4-2-7 .
      3. (C) IC 4-2-8 .
