If:

1. (1) the contract is not disapproved under section 7 of this chapter; and

2. (2) the county executive finds the contract:

   1. (A) complies with IC 36-2-2.8 ; and

   2. (B) is otherwise acceptable;

      the county executive may approve and authorize execution of the contract by the county officer or the county executive.
