"Executive" means the:

1. (1) board of commissioners, for a county that:

   1. (A) does not have a consolidated city; and
   2. (B) is not subject to IC 36-2-2.5 ;

2. (2) single county executive elected under IC 3-10-2-13 , for a county that:

   1. (A) does not have a consolidated city; and
   2. (B) is subject to IC 36-2-2.5 ;
3. (3) mayor of the consolidated city, for a county having a consolidated city;
4. (4) mayor, for a city;
5. (5) president of the town council, for a town;
6. (6) trustee, for a township;
7. (7) superintendent, for a school corporation; or

8. (8) chief executive officer, for any other political subdivision.
